Capranica is a beautiful medieval village on Via Cassia: 25 km from Viterbo and 55 from Rome. It is easy to reach by train or car. Once upon a time, it was an Etruscan settlement. And, the Via Francigena which passes through Capranica is the ancient route that pilgrims from Northern Europe followed to visit Saint Peter’s in Rome.
Built on a hill, Capranica overlooks green, lush valleys and widespread hazelnut orchards. In nearby Sutri, there is an important Etruscan necropolis, a Mithraeum, an ancient Amphitheater and a Romanesque Duomo. The lakes of Vico and Bracciano (both swimming areas) are close and easy to reach.
The apartment is located in the heart of the old town. In a prime position inside a XV century building with exceptional views of old roofs and countryside. I have wonderful memories of this home and of the serene local. This is a perfect place for nature lovers who seek beauty, peace and quiet.
I personally created the interior décor with great care – mindful of every detail such as vintage tiles on the fireplace hood and careful choices in appropriate furnishings.
The apartment is located on the 1st floor: It has a living room with fireplace, sofabed, and wooden lacunar ceiling; a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. One the 2nd floor, there is large bedroom with a wooden-beam ceiling, main bathroom with a shower closet. 96 sqm.
